A Lehi mother accused of abusing her two adopted children has been sentenced to 30 days in the Utah County jail.

After 38-year-old Heidi L. Robinson is released from jail, she will be monitored by GPS and must complete anger management and parenting skills courses as part of her probation.

Robinson originally was charged in 4th District Court with five child-abuse counts for allegedly choking her children, at times until they could not breathe. The woman pleaded guilty in January to two class A misdemeanor counts — one reduced from a second-degree felony — for yelling "degrading remarks to [the children] which made them very upset and could have caused them severe emotional harm."
