If you don’t know Jeff Lieberman you may already know him if you’ve visited The Lenoardo to behold "Slink," his current sculpture on display there that uses a dizzying array of springs and LEDs to play tricks on the way you take in the visual world.
Either way, Lieberman’s scheduled April 13 lecture and April 14 workshop are sure to deliver oohs and aahs from geek squads valley-wide and anyone else proud to have a subscription to Popular Mechanics. A Renaissance man himself, with accomplishments in music, photography and education to boast, Lieberman’s doing it all in honor of Lenoardo da Vinci’s birthday, but to the delight of anyone interested in the links between art and science. Lieberman himself is someone constantly in flux, and currently earning his doctorate in media studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
His Friday lecture kicks off 7 p.m., with a workshop 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at The Leonardo to follow.
